Prairie Point Christmas Garland

Prairie Point Christmas Garland

Here is your stocking stuffer I promised yesterday, Prairie Point Christmas Garland! The garland is so easy to make, please see the instructions below.
Prairie Point Christmas Garland

6 - Fat 1/4's of assorted fabrics for prairie points
1/4 yard for binding strip

1.    Cut 72 - 3" squares from the assorted fat 1/4's.  Fold each square in half (wrong sides together) to make a triangle, fold in half again and press.
2.    Cut 3 - 1 1/2" x 42" strips from binding fabric. Sew the 3 strips (short ends) together to make 1 long strip. Fold strip in half lengthwise wrong sides together and press entire strip.
3.    Place prairie points inside binding strip, putting them next to each other. Pin in place.
4.    Stitch in place, stitching close to raw edges of binding making sure binding front and back edges are both caught in stitching.
Tip: You can embellish garland with buttons, jingle bells, small ornaments etc. if desired. Makes approximately 8 ft.
