I just got home, after nearly six weeks of radiation treatments at MD Anderson, and I have to say that I can't think of a better use of a quilter's time and talent than to donate to this fundraiser. MD Anderson is not only an amazing teaching and research hospital, but they save countless lives every year... I've been fortunate to be one of them, twice! I hope the auction is a huge success for their Ovarian Cancer Research Program, and I'm going to work on getting well fast, so I can donate a quilt too :-)

Thanks for your inspirational comment Annie! I can certainly tell you are a fighter and a terrific person. It is so important to get the message of the quilt auction out to everyone, so patients like you can get the help they need to fight cancer and live a LONG productive life! Cheers to you and you are in our prayers. Can't wait to hear you are quilting again!!

Oh Backwoods Quilter, THANK YOU for your comment! Anyone from any country can donate a quilt! I'm sorry that was not clear, our goal for this year is a quilt from all 50 states. We have gotten quilts from England and Germany too. Please feel welcome and tell all your Canadian quilty friends about it. We want this to spread everywhere so we can one day find a cure!! Thank you and so sorry your sister passed from this cancer and your friend is fighting it now. Have you been keeping up with screening for you? You are in our prayers!
